The Irvine Coalition for Energy Management (ICEM) builds upon the existing partnerships between the City of Irvine, Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company and The Energy Coalition. The project goal is to integrate the City’s existing energy programs and partnerships to provide holistic energy efficiency and demand response education and services to all members of the Irvine community.
Established in spring 2007, it’s just beginning to take shape. One of the first projects being developed is a demand response cooperative, which will be modeled after The Energy Coalition’s Northern California Business Energy Coalition.
