The Community Energy Partnership (CEP) is a partnership among seven Southern Californian cities, Southern California Edison, The Gas CompanySM, and The Energy Coalition. Its mission is to build positive relationships among cities, energy consumers, and their serving utilities, and to educate communities about sustainable and efficient energy practices.

Through the CEP, cities and utilities collaborate to empower consumers to take responsibility for their energy use. The CEP provides targeted energy education and services throughout the seven cities to homeowners, renters, senior citizens, small business owners, schools, municipal employees, and others.

Community Energy Partnership initiatives:

  • Community Education and Outreach
  • Distribution of energy-saving devices like compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), faucet aerators and LEDs.
  • Energy Efficiency Tune-Ups for homes
  • Special Projects
